A guarantee only means something if you can read it in plain terms and know what it covers before we start work. Here is exactly what stands behind an aerial installation, satellite fitting or repair carried out by Oxford Aerial Solutions across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, and what happens if something goes wrong afterwards.

What our workmanship guarantee covers

If a fault develops that relates to how a job was installed or fitted, whether that is an aerial coming loose, a connector that was not properly weatherproofed, or a cable run that was not secured correctly, we come back and put it right at no extra cost. This covers our labour and workmanship specifically, for the period stated on your invoice, and applies across aerial installations, satellite fittings, extra TV points and repair work alike.

Parts warranty, passed straight on to you

Aerials, dishes, amplifiers, brackets and cabling all carry a manufacturer warranty against defects, and we pass that on in full rather than adding our own conditions on top. If a component fails within its warranty period through no fault of installation, we arrange the replacement and fit it as part of the same guarantee, so you are not left chasing a manufacturer directly.

No-fix-no-fee on diagnostic visits

Not every call-out results in work being needed, and we do not think you should pay a full diagnostic fee to be told your problem is something we cannot fix, such as a fault with the broadcast itself rather than your equipment. Where we attend to diagnose a fault and find nothing we can put right on your system, our no-fix-no-fee approach means you are not charged for that visit.

Where we do identify a fault, we explain what it is and quote the cost of the repair before carrying out any work, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Fully insured work, inside and out

All work is covered by public liability insurance, which matters both for the ladder and roof work involved in aerial and dish fitting, and for any work carried out inside your home running cable or fitting outlets. You are covered if anything is accidentally damaged during the course of the job, which is worth checking with any installer before they start.

  • Public liability insurance in place for all site work
  • Risk assessed access for roof and chimney work
  • Care taken with existing decoration, flooring and fixtures
  • Old aerials, dishes and packaging removed and disposed of

Pricing agreed before we start, not after

You will always know the cost of a job before we begin, whether that is a fixed quote for an installation or a diagnostic fee for a fault-finding visit that will be waived if we carry out the repair. We do not add charges once we are on site without discussing them with you first.

If something goes wrong after the guarantee period

Most faults covered by the workmanship guarantee show up fairly quickly, but if you have a problem after the guarantee period has ended, we are still happy to attend as a standard call-out and will always tell you honestly whether the issue relates to the original installation or is a separate, newer fault.

Questions we are asked about this work

How long does your workmanship guarantee last?

The guarantee period is stated on your invoice at the time of the job and applies to installations, extra points and repair work alike. Get in touch with your invoice details if you need a reminder of the date.

What happens if the aerial itself fails, not the installation?

Parts we fit carry their manufacturer warranty, which we pass on in full. If an aerial, dish or amplifier fails within that warranty period through a manufacturing fault, we replace and refit it as part of the same guarantee.

Do I pay if you come out and can't find a fault with my aerial?

No. Our no-fix-no-fee approach means if we attend a diagnostic call-out and there is nothing on your system we can put right, you are not charged for that visit.

Are you insured to work on my roof and inside my home?

Yes, all work is covered by public liability insurance for both roof and chimney access and any work carried out inside the property.

Will I know the cost before you start work?

Yes, we agree pricing with you before any work begins, whether that is a fixed installation quote or a diagnostic fee that is waived if you go ahead with the repair we identify.

Do you cover Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire equally?

Yes, the same guarantee terms apply to all work carried out across Oxford, Witney, Abingdon, Banbury, Henley-on-Thames, Reading, Aylesbury and the surrounding areas.

Describe the fault or the job and we will tell you what is likely involved, what it should cost and when we can be with you. No obligation, no pressure.
